Teaching Chess and Life
When i was reading this story i had a big connection with this story. My connection was i had somebody in my life that had a impact on me that was my godmother. She had a big impact on me because she told me to stay in school and to become something in life. My hobby that keeps me on track is football and being a cheerleader. I love being a cheerleader that keeps me from bad things at school and home. So i see where he is coming from when he talks about the man that impact he.

Great reader response! I like how you made a connection with the mentor. How wonderful that you have a godmother whom you can rely on! We all need role models to keep us on the right track :) My mom was a great role model for me! Just a small editing comment-- reread your last sentence aloud. You accidentally repeated a phrase (when he is coming from). You need to take that phrase out and finish the sentence with "impacted him". When you read this aloud I think you will hear the difference :)
